Family, history, childhood time. Adult time and a past gone and a future moving on with little need for nostalgia. The wild expanse of the Oregon Coast is unlike any coastline in America. Protected from and set apart from the inland cities its evocative feel is more poetic than prose. The wilds of its nature is visceral in the intensity of the breaking surf, the eagles hunting broken gulls, the cold tidal pools brimming with life hardened against the cold northwest waters. I’ve been coming here all my life; sleeping in cabins or under blankets on the sand. Now I bring my own young daughter and the cycles of life continue.
