A pinhole camera is photography in its most basic form. A pinhole camera is simply a lightproof box with a tiny pin sized hole on one side and light sensitive material on the other side. This tiny aperture, using the camera obscure effect, projects an inverted image with infinite depth of field. Read more. Because it removes control, what’s left is a more visceral experience when photographing and a rawness of form when looking at pinhole images.
I first started using a pinhole camera while working on my project Wander to enhance the projects ethos of disconnection and letting go.
