Sometimes the understanding of a print is revealed later, sometimes years later. While shooting in the field thoughts are often turned to the technical side of creativity and the decisions around scene choice, composition, lenses, exposure, development and what you want the final print to look like.
Practically, this scene is a perfect example of layered composition with distinct fore, middle ad back grounds. With balanced tonality and symmetrically placed island tufts I composed it purposely this way to force that symmetry.
It’s this structure I like about it. The beauty, for me, lies in its construction.
