A walk in the woods is never just a walk. If you allow it, if for a moment you can let down your walls of ego and self-importance and accept your surroundings as the cacophony of life to which you a part and not apart you will see the poem that exists right in front of your eyes. It is not the poem to which your life has written, unique to you alone, it is the prose that exists for all of us, and it is only read if you allow yourself to read it. So I implore you to allow yourself that moment of grace and understanding, for a walk in the woods is never just a walk.
