I go to the woods because it’s there I’m reminded of something. I’m reminded that the function of life is not the same thing as the purpose of being alive. Maybe Joseph Campbell is correct and what we seek is not the why of living, but for an experience of being alive. But really, what it comes down to is this question belongs to each of us alone. And there is no right answer. It is yours to discover.

I started this month long walking journey to have a repetition, to see if in the act of doing it I would discover something about the place I live. But like all journeys we take what I learned was far richer than what I sought. I rediscovered this thing inside me, this need to express my thou of life.
