Some expression is in the detail. An element of the whole. The way light plays through leaves, the texture of sand, how water falls on rock. This is what gave me pause here. The texture created in the way the water cascaded down. Ribbons on interlaced streams. The image was easy to make, the exposure a second long, but I stood here awhile just watching. One of the real pleasures in making landscape images resides in the watching of things. It’s a removal of time in those moments.
