My eyes were young but I was hungry and obsessed. At the time I was going to school at the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara California. It was a revelation to be there. I had found my voice in the world and as I descended deeper into learning photography I became consumed by the thing. It became my whole way of life. It didn’t take long for my love of nature to merge with this new passion. That landscape photography became my way of existing didn’t surprise me. In these two I was reborn from the cave of uncertainty into a place of knowable certitude. I’ve never looked back.
